Ty “Butterfly” Crawley Jr. is a naturally gifted athlete who picked up the sport of basketball long before he decided to have a career in boxing.
In fact, in his senior year at Roxborough High School as a Point Guard he averaged 21.3 points per game and he was named Philadelphia All-Public League 1st Team in 2003. Soon after he graduated high school, Ty “Butterfly” Crawley Jr. decided to follow his father Tyrone Crawley Sr.’s (2003 Inductee of The New Jersey Boxing Hall of Fame) path into boxing.
"Butterfly" has continued to incrementally improve since he decided that boxing was going to be his profession. "I believe that what will set me apart from other fighters is my will and determination. My goal is to train as hard as possible so that the actual bout is the easy part."
Ty "Butterfly" Crawley Jr.’s ambition and determination is only matched by his charisma, humility, and star-quality. The "Butterfly" won the 152lb. Pennsylvania Golden Gloves Amateur Boxing Championship Tournament on April 11th 2009 @ The Blue Horizon in Philadelphia, PA. Crawley is scheduled to make his professional debut in early 2010.
